A Million Dollar Savings at OSC
InterTrac has been at work in the New York State Office of the State Comptroller (OSC) since 2000. OSC uses the InterTrac system to centralize, manage, and share customer knowledge and internal information for over 2000 employees in eleven locations. InterTrac provides both remote and local OSC staff with up-to-date information on over 10,000 municipal government contacts in a single database.
In addition, OSC maintains a library of standard training materials, processes service requests from local government officials, and manages risk assessment surveys as active cases all with InterTrac.
Throughout OSC, staff are using the InterTrac system to record incoming and outgoing phone calls, draft and send correspondence, maintain press lists and automate public relations efforts, perform employee evaluations, and to automate and route all of their office workflow processes. The administration estimates that their enterprise-wide use of InterTrac is saving OSC at least $1,000,000 in staff time and resources each year. | |
"My opinion is that the true measuring stick for our effective use of knowledge is really InterTrac itself, because it is our use of the system that provides OSC with the means to strategically coordinate, collaborate, and communicate information both internally and externally as it has never been done before."
